💡 Why Elaine Devine?

I’ve lived in and around Beaumont my entire life. My husband and I chose to settle in Coloniale after leaving BeauVal because a multi-unit complex was being built right in our backyard, with almost no parking and no consideration for the families already living there. That experience wasn’t just frustrating, it was eye-opening. It showed me firsthand how poor planning can disrupt lives and erode trust in our city’s leadership.

I’m running for City Council because I know Beaumont can do better. And I have the experience to make it happen.

🛠️ Real-World Experience You Can Trust

With over 20 years in operations and project management, I’ve led multimillion-dollar infrastructure, modular, and oilfield projects across Alberta. I’ve worked in the in field and office reviewing blueprints, managing budgets, coordinating teams, and ensuring safety and compliance. I understand what it takes to plan, build, and maintain communities that work.

As a Project Manager, I manage construction projects ranging from $1M to $50M, oversee estimating and procurement, and lead risk assessments using industry-standard methods.

Before this, I spent a decade as Operations Manager at BRT Structures and Dupre Boilers, where I grew modular sales, increased rentals to 93% occupancy, and led business expansion efforts that boosted client acquisition by 30%.

🎓 Education That Supports Action

I hold a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Management from NAIT, and I’m currently completing my MBA at Carleton University, focusing on Management and Change. I’m also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and hold numerous safety certifications—including COR Auditor, Hazard Assessment, and Workplace Investigation.

🧭 Planning with Purpose

I don’t just talk about responsible development—I’ve lived it, studied it, and led it. I know how to read a zoning map, assess infrastructure needs, and ensure that growth doesn’t come at the expense of livability. I understand the importance of having roads, utilities, green spaces, and schools in place before approving dense developments.

I’ve seen what happens when planning fails—like the 54-unit complex at 180 Dansereau Way with almost no parking and a single-lane alley for access. That’s not just poor design—it’s a failure to respect the people who live here.

🗳️ A Vote for Elaine is a Vote for Change

I’m not a career politician. I’m a community member, a professional, and a problem-solver. I’m running because I believe Beaumont deserves leadership that listens, plans, and delivers.

If you’re tired of being ignored…
If you want development that makes sense…
If you believe in transparency, accountability, and community-first decision-making…

Then I ask for your support.

Vote Elaine Devine for City Council. Let’s build a better Beaumont—together.
